PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Purposes for the Scholarship:
To enhance a deserving youth of the B.M. & E. Congress of Christian Education relationship with God through the reward of a financial scholarship to an accredited institution of higher learning.
Applicant Criteria:
Applicant must be:
- A believer in JESUS, The CHRIST.
- A member of a Baptist Church financially registered with B. M. & E District and State Convention and Congress of Christian Education and is supportive of the Youth Congress: Class/Seminars Studies, Youth and Children’s Rally’s.
- In good standing with the Local Church Youth Ministries for one or more years:
- Attendance and participation in Sunday School, N.B.C-BTU, Bible Classes and active in other Youth Activities
- Have favorable Behavior. (Humble, Respectful & Obedient)
- Must have maintained a High School GPA of at least 2.0
______________________________________________________________To be considered as an Applicant for the scholarship, you must submit:
- The Scholarship Application (must be filled out in its entirety, page 2)
- An unofficial high school transcript showing your GPA
- Acceptance letter (s) from prospective colleges where you plan to use the scholarship
- Two Recommendation Forms (page 4,5) from your Pastor and District Youth Director
- Personal Essay (please follow all guidelines)
- Submit Application and other documents on or before deadline, April 28, 2023
